Part of the content will be selected from a global ‘open call to translators’, which closes in September 2023. Confirmed contributions to the anthology include: ‘Butterflies’, a short story by Geetanjali Shree, translated from Hindi by Daisy Rockwell; ‘Peach’, a short story by Sema Kaygusuz, translated from Turkish by Maureen Freely; ‘Red (Hunger)’, an extract from a novel by Senthuran Varatharajah, translated from German by Vijay Khurana; ‘Alegria’, a story by Colombian writer Margarita Garcia Robayo, translated from Spanish by Carolina Orloff; ‘Mulberry Season’ an excerpt from the novel Darkness Inside and Out by Argentinian writer Leila Sucari, translated from Spanish by Maureen Shaughnessy, and the short story ‘Jackals’ by Haytham El-Wardany, translated from Arabic by Katharine Halls.
